Dr. Amy Siegler's path to occupational therapy was shaped by a lifelong curiosity about movement, function, and the human body. Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, she developed a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the resilience it takes to navigate challenging environments, values that would later define her approach to patient care. She went on to study Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University before earning her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Creighton University, where she completed her professional rotation and doctoral capstone in orthotics and prosthetics, ultimately becoming a Board Certified Orthotist.

After settling in western North Carolina with her husband Jason and their three daughters, Amy channeled her expertise and passion into building something meaningful for her community. In 2019, she founded LimbTech with a mission to ensure that individuals and families in western NC had access to the specialized seating, mobility, and DME evaluations they deserved. What began as a locally rooted practice has grown into a multi-state telehealth operation, now serving clients across nine states and expanding.

As Clinical Director, Amy leads all aspects of patient care at LimbTech, bringing a rare combination of occupational therapy expertise and orthotic knowledge to every evaluation. She is a fierce advocate for telehealth access, equitable therapy reimbursement, and the role that occupational therapists can and should play in their communities and profession. Her clinical depth spans multiple practice settings, and she approaches each patient with the same commitment to finding the right solution for that individual's life.

Student growth is one of Amy's deepest passions. She has served as a fieldwork educator and mentor to hundreds of OT and OTA students, creating learning experiences that challenge, support, and inspire the next generation of practitioners. She believes that great fieldwork education does not just build clinical skills, it builds the kind of therapists who go on to advocate for their patients and their profession long after graduation.

Kendell Blunden's journey in occupational therapy began through a Level II fieldwork placement that quickly revealed the depth of her vision. As a student at LimbTech, she immersed herself in client care, operations, and program development in ways that went far beyond a typical placement, and that commitment never stopped. She now serves as a COTA/L and Chief Operating Officer, helping lead a telehealth OT practice that delivers seating, mobility, and DME evaluations across the nation.

Working remotely from California, Kendell shapes LimbTech's clinical operations, administrative systems, and student education programs alongside clinical partner Dr. Amy Siegler, OTD, OTR/L, BOCO. Her hands-on clinical work focuses on DME deliveries, follow-up care, and patient education, leveraging telehealth to reach individuals in rural and underserved communities who would otherwise go without access to high-quality OT services. She is a fierce advocate for telehealth access and equitable therapy reimbursement, believing that geography should never be a barrier to receiving the care and equipment a person needs to live safely and independently.

Student development is equally central to her work at LimbTech. Over the years, Kendell has mentored more than 200 OT and OTA students through fieldwork placements and doctoral capstone projects, teaching evaluation strategies, client advocacy, grant writing, and insurance documentation. Her approach is built on creating challenges that push students to grow in ways they did not think possible, while ensuring they feel supported every step of the way. Students consistently leave LimbTech prepared, confident, and ready to make a difference as entry-level clinicians.

In 2025, Kendell received both the NBCOT COTA Impact Award and the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association Distinguished COTA Award, recognizing her extraordinary contributions to clients, students, and the occupational therapy profession as a whole.
